Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the websites, software, and services (“Services”) provided by CORE (UK) Limited, trading as TariffTel (“TariffTel”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing or using our Services you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Definitions
- “Services” means TTVerified, TTExplore, Managed Services, and any other products or features made available by TariffTel.
- “User” means any individual or organisation that accesses or uses the Services.
- “Content” means all data, text, information, images, and other material accessible through the Services.
- “User Data” means product descriptions, files, and any other data you upload or submit to the Services.
- “Subscription” means a paid plan giving access to the Services for a defined period.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, accessing our website, or using any of our Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are accessing the Services on behalf of an organisation, you represent and warrant that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use our Services.
3. Our Services
TariffTel provides software tools to assist with customs tariff classification of goods. Our Services include:
- TTVerified — expert-reviewed tariff code classification with a full audit trail.
- TTExplore — self-serve AI-assisted tariff code classification.
- Managed Services — end-to-end classification managed by TariffTel’s team of customs specialists.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time, with reasonable notice where practicable.
4. Your Account
To use most of our Services you must register for an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
- Maintain the security of your account credentials and not share your password with third parties.
- Notify us immediately at info@tarifftel.com if you become aware of any unauthorised access to your account.
- Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that appear to have been compromised.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Services to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation, including export control or trade sanction laws.
- Infringe any third-party intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
- Upload or transmit any content that is unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or that contains malware.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Services or related systems.
- Scrape, copy, or reproduce any part of the Services without our prior written consent.
- Use the Services in a manner that could damage, disable, or impair our systems or servers.
- Deliberately misclassify goods or use the Services to facilitate customs fraud.
6. Fees & Payment
Subscription fees are as set out on our Pricing page and in any order or agreement between us. Unless otherwise stated:
- Fees are quoted in GBP and exclude VAT, which will be added where applicable.
- Annual subscriptions are payable in advance; monthly subscriptions are payable at the start of each billing cycle.
- Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as expressly stated in your subscription agreement.
- We may change our fees on reasonable notice. Continued use of the Services after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new fee.
- Late payment may result in suspension of access until outstanding amounts are settled.
7. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the Services, including software, databases, tariff classification logic, user interfaces, and documentation, belong to TariffTel or our licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you any ownership of or rights to our intellectual property beyond the limited licence to use the Services as set out here.
You retain ownership of your User Data. By uploading User Data you grant TariffTel a limited, non-exclusive licence to process that data solely for the purpose of delivering the Services to you.
You must not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Services without our prior written consent.
8. Data & Privacy
Our collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy. For enterprise customers, data processing terms are set out in the relevant order agreement.
We are ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified. We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect User Data against unauthorised access, loss, or destruction. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Disclaimers
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. While TariffTel strives to provide accurate tariff classification outputs, we do not warrant that:
- Any tariff code, duty rate, or classification provided through the Services is legally correct or will be accepted by any customs authority.
- The Services will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free from security vulnerabilities.
- The Services will meet your specific business requirements.
Tariff classification is complex and subject to change. You remain responsible for verifying the accuracy of any classifications and for your compliance with applicable customs law. TariffTel’s outputs are not legal advice.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- TariffTel’s total aggregate liability to you arising under or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profit, revenue, data, or business, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
- Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
11. Termination
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are given for unused time unless otherwise agreed.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services immediately and without notice if you materially breach these Terms, including non-payment of fees or any violation of the Acceptable Use policy.
On termination, your right to access the Services ceases. We may delete your User Data after a reasonable retention period, subject to our legal obligations.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice within the Services. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of any change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Services.
13. Governing Law
These Terms and any disputes arising from them are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Each party irrevocably submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
