What is TARIC?
TARIC stands for the Integrated Tariff of the European Union. It builds on the 8-digit Combined Nomenclature and adds two digits for EU measures such as anti-dumping duties, quotas and preferential rates.
Who uses TARIC?
Importers, exporters and customs brokers trading with the EU use TARIC to find the right code, duty rate and any restrictions before declaring goods.
How it relates to classification
A TARIC code is where measures such as anti-dumping duty and CBAM scope attach, so the full 10 digits matter, not just the first six.
