Purpose of the Role
TariffTel is building new products to attract customers and grow its market for tariff classification solutions. Our Senior Software Engineers are key to building and maintaining our products and the websites & applications based on Azure that satisfy requirements. They work closely with our design, operations & testing teams to ensure quality solutions are delivered.
Decision Making and Authority
The role holder takes responsibility for technical design decisions and the implementation of the various products configured for our customers, enabling them to meet requirements with high quality solutions.
Guidance and Direction
As a Senior Software Engineer, the role holder will provide guidance and training on how our platform can be configured to deliver our solutions to complex customer requirements.
There is also an element of autonomy in managing tasks internal to the team and proposing /implementing improvements to our related technologies and processes.
Key Relationships and Context
The role holder will report directly to the Development Team Manager who will assist in planning & assigning short and long-term work.
The role holder will work closely with other software developers and occasionally Support Desk staff if required to help address system issues. As a senior member of the team, the role holder will use their advanced knowledge and experience to guide and support other developers and make proposals on technical decisions.
The role is mostly internally facing, however given their experience they may be required to occasionally join meetings with external customers to provide technical knowledge, demonstrate solution or provide third line support.
